We urge local government, The Aiken County School Board; The Aiken County Council; and The City Council of North Augusta, to approve Project Jackson. We think that the $150 Million public-private investment in Project Jackson will benefit the Citizens of North Augusta by: 1: Creating a vibrant Downtown and Riverfront Entertainment District. 2. Creating both a significant number of construction jobs (2,700 over the 3 year development period) and permanent jobs (projected at 1030.). 3. Significantly expanding the tax base both in the remaining areas of Hammonds Ferry and throughout the Downtown Development Corridor.
