The issue is simple and seemingly straightforward: The town of Nags Head is planning to paint over the remembrance wall at Dowdy Park which was painted to honor Ravann and Sebi and their untimely and tragic passing.
This decision seems absolutely unnecessary and especially premature. This beautiful work of art brings all who knew them a little bit of peace and those who didn't an opportunity for reflection. The paint on this wall is still barely dry and shines as vibrantly as the memories it invokes for all of those to whom it gives pause.
We respectfully request that this wall remain in its current state at Dowdy Park in order to preserve the memories of Ravann and Sebi.
Met Kelley back in 2016 while booking our vacation. Have remained in touch over the years. Watched our kids grow on social media. She's my island vacation lady as I call her!! My heart broke for her when losing Rav and Sebi. This wall bought such comfort and joy in their memory. Once again the sadness returns with the wall being painted over.
