To Whom It May Concern:

Although our beloved friend Moe passed away over six years ago, his life has not been forgotten. The parking spot often used by Moe was decorated within a week of his death by his peers, family, teachers, and even principals. This Spot still remains the only local place in honor of his life. The spot was covered by black paint in the summer of 2008, which has since then faded. We worked with principals and teachers alike to create another memorial for our friend, but without success and cooperation of those "in charge."

On 12/30/2013, some concerned alumni noticed two large construction vehicles at this same "Spot," with arrows pointing toward the parking place. At this time, we, the Class of 2008, as well as all friends, family, and the community of the Downingtown Area School District, plead with the decision makers of this endeavor, to work with us to find a compromise.

Many members of DASD have passed away since 10/14/07, and all of them have received proper memorial projects with the help of the authorities. It is unjust that our situation go unnoticed, no matter how long ago the tragedy occurred. We therefore petition to the authorities of DASD, that prior to total destruction of The Spot, that we are given entire pieces of this pavement to use in an alternate memorial of our choice, and that the authorities of the Downingtown Area School District aid us in the creation of a new memorial. We will not allow the life of Moe to be forgotten.

Ridiculous that it took this long and still nothing. Leave it alone or at least let the class have the pieces. He deserves better than this treatment.

Moe was such a great guy. Its really sad they wanna just paint over that spot like he wasnt even there. Please let us have the pavement so we can have a place to visit.

As a member of the class of 2008 and a good friend of Moe's this makes my entire heart smile. It had always pained me that I never really had a "spot" to mourn the loss of this awesome human. This is truly such an awesome thing and hope that it works out.

I think his number 86 should be retired at the next East West Football game
