We, the undersigned, petition the Mayor and Council of Washington Township, Gloucester County, NJ, to make the necessary provisions to raze the empty KFC on the Black Horse Pike in Turnersville, and have it replaced by Popeyes.
The KFC deservedly went out of business years ago due to the poor quality of it product and service. However, we still believe there is a market for quality fried chicken, and Popeyes is by far the best.
Currently, anyone craving Popeyes chicken must drive to other locations such as Lawnside, South Philly, or Pennsauken. Not only is this an inconvenience, it forces Washington Township residents to spend their money elsewhere, rather than keep it in town.
A new Popeyes in the location of the now-empty KFC would serve the multiple purposes of removing an embarrassing eyesore from the highway, making Popeyes great product easily available to the citizens of the Township, create jobs, and generate much needed tax revenues.
Therefore, we, the undersigned, petition the government of Washington Township to seriously consider this culinary and economically beneficial action.
Respectfully submitted:
That old kfc is such an eyesore. Sitting there empty for years while we have to drive all the way to lawnside? Makes zero sense. Tear it down and give us some good chicken already.
