As the warm spring days are quickly coming, I think it would be great if we male teachers could wear polo shirts or dress shirts without ties as part of our professional dress code. Sign up for this petition so we can be comfortable as we teach! Then I will take it to the administration.

I have been hearing from so many of you in the halls about how much this simple change would improve our daily comfort during the heat. I am currently putting together a formal proposal to present to the administration that clearly outlines why a relaxed dress code still maintains our professional standards.

The momentum behind this request is truly heartening because I know how much it means to be comfortable in a hot classroom. I feel like we are finally being seen by the rest of the staff and I am looking forward to bringing our collective preference to the administration.

I have no problem with you boys getting to buy yourselves something nice to wear for the spring and summer season!
I'm in. Would love to add red shoes to this list too (but I realize I'm probably the only one).

Finally. Its gets way to hot in these classrooms by May and a tie just feels ridiculous when the AC is busted.
