There are a lot of children in the Crumlin area with no play area for parents to bring them. The working class area's are always overlooked when it comes to providing facilities....You just have to look at the fight to keep Crumlin swimming pool !!!!

Its always a good thing when a parent can bring a child to the local park,sit down on the grass on a summers day and feel safe amongst the wild flowers and the shaded by the leaves of a mature tree,but alas, its sad that children with adventure on their mind cannot climb that tree or sit there without much else to do but play football or ride a bike that in itself is considered a no no by the council. In recent years the council have accomplished much in our local parks in Crumlin,but its time that Crumlin has had its own playground for our children to play in,like when i was a child. Im 45 years old, and my fondess memories were of the playground in Pearse park,but alas all there is in Pearse park these days is plenty and plenty of Grass,some trees and lots and lots of small plastic packages of Dog shit. Somehow i cannot imagine that a child growing up in crumlin today,will look back with the same wonderment of their childhood growing up in Crumlin,as i i had... Bring back the Playground!!!!

A playground is needed in Pearce park for local families... The park is really looking well after recent refurbishments.playground would entice young families to use it.

As a mother of two young children I regularly bring my kids to playgrounds outside of Crumlin. I would love to see a playground but not if it will attract anti social behaviour at night it will have to be protected.
