After 36 years of existence, Quebec-born progressive-metal band Voivod recently won the 2019 Juno Award in the Metal / Hard album of the year category with "The Wake". The album "The Wake" was recorded and produced in Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, Quebec. We ask that CHOM, Montreal's main rock radio station, recognizes Voivod's contribution to canadian rock music and starts airing Voivod songs.
Voivod evolved into a highly technical progressive metal, so there are lots of songs to choose from. We ask CHOM to play songs from "The Wake", of course, but also from other albums like "Dimension Hatröss", "Nothingface" or "Angel Rat" (The Prow, Panorama)... Voivod invented a distinctive sound, using the most unusual combinations of chords, dissonance and rhythms that leave people in awe. The lyrics are sci-fi oriented, inventive and stunning.

Après 36 ans d'existence, le groupe de métal progressif québécois Voivod a récemment remporté le Prix Juno 2019 dans la catégorie "Metal / Hard album of the year" avec l'album "The Wake". L'album "The Wake" a été enregistré et produit à Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, Québec. Nous demandons à CHOM, la principale station radio rock de Montréal, de reconnaître la contribution de Voivod à la musique canadienne et de mettre en ondes des chansons de Voivod.
Voivod a évolué en un groupe de métal progressif très technique, alors il y a beaucoup de chansons parmi lesquelles CHOM peut choisir. Nous demandons à CHOM de diffuser des chansons de l'album "The Wake", bien sûr, mais aussi d'albums tels que "Dimension Hatröss", "Nothingface" et "Angel Rat" (The Prow, Panorama)... CHOM continues to ignore a legendary band that literally won a Juno while sticking to the same tired playlist. Their silence is insulting to every fan who knows that real rock music is being made right here in our own backyard.

I've been a fan of CHOM for 41 years (and I'm 41 lol) and a fan of Voivod's music for 30 years and it's time the two met each other !
Nul n'est prophète en son pays, c'est pourquoi Voivod est boudé!? Get them on the air, CHOM! This would help you avoid playing the same standard songs every day.
I can't believe I'm having to sign a petition to get a Canadian rock station to add one of Canada's greatest, most ambitious and challenging bands to its playlists. You should be proud of them and championing them already. Please put this right.
Voivod deserve to be on the radio. A song like Orb Confusion from the latest album The Wake could easely fit on your program. It's time to show some support and respect for our local legend. WE ARE CONNECTED.

Personne pour comprendre à votre station de radio que vous détenez une perle ? Voïvod est un des rares groupes de rock qui sache rester fidèle à ses racines tout en innovant d'album en album.
