After 36 years of existence, Quebec-born progressive-metal band Voivod recently won the 2019 Juno Award in the Metal / Hard album of the year category with "The Wake". The album "The Wake" was recorded and produced in Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, Quebec. We ask that CHOM, Montreal's main rock radio station, recognizes Voivod's contribution to canadian rock music and starts airing Voivod songs.

Voivod evolved into a highly technical progressive metal, so there are lots of songs to choose from. We ask CHOM to play songs from "The Wake", of course, but also from other albums like "Dimension Hatröss", "Nothingface" or "Angel Rat" (The Prow, Panorama)... Voivod invented a distinctive sound, using the most unusual combinations of chords, dissonance and rhythms that leave people in awe. The lyrics are sci-fi oriented, inventive and stunning.
