We call on Northern Beaches Council, in the former Pittwater Council area, to:

1. Rule out rezoning of C4 land to residential

2. Apply conservation zonings to properties where any significant environmental values or hazards are present

3. Create Scenic Foreshore Protection Areas from shorelines to ridgelines

4. Retain all Heritage Conservation Areas and investigate those proposed - but not yet implemented - by the former Pittwater Council.

Seeing five hundred names on this page feels like a lifeline for the landscape I have spent my whole life protecting. I never expected this much support for the trees and shorelines that define our home. Please keep pushing this out so the council finally takes notice of our concerns.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one who refuses to watch our ridgelines disappear. My heart is full knowing that so many neighbors care just as deeply about protecting the home we call Pittwater.

Further crowding on a geographically constrained peninsula is simply nothing less than ignorant stupidity! This council and its’ state government counterparts’ agenda must not ride roughshod over residents wishes and priorities!

I am concerned over loss of tree canopy in our area. We need to preserve existing canopy and plant more trees We do not need reasoning of c4 to residential. We need foreshore protection areas. We need to retain all heritage conservation areas

I was born and raised in Avalon and care deeply for Pittwater. I work and travel around the world - but this place is unique. We must fight to save and protect it. NO changes to C4 and NO overdevelopment. Save our natural environment for the future.

C5 Narrabeen Group with slopes > 15 degrees should be in the Hazard Criteria. Over the decades Pittwater & Narrabeen ward have been adversely affected by slope instability, landslides & rock falls from the ridges causing extensive property & infrastructure damage.

The rezoning is arbitrary and pits neighbours against each other which is unfortunate. There has been 'cherry-picked' houses in whole streets earmarked with no rationale which can penalise other residents so I think it has been rushed through.

Keep the conservation zones. Do not open up land for residential zoning, it's not suitable, will affect tourism, and we don't have the infrastructure, particularly when we just lost the Wakehurst Parkway funding, the the bends are backed up every single day.
