We, the undersigned, believe Marisol Vélez would be a great benefit to the JET Program. She is a positive representative of our Puerto Rican community and of women all over the world. Please allow her the chance to show you she can make up for the mistake she made on her application and in her past by still allowing her to fulfill her dream, which is vicariously our dream, of teaching in Japan.

I am currently finalizing a formal letter to the program coordinators that outlines Marisol Velez's qualifications and recent professional development. These signatures have provided the necessary leverage to request a secondary review of her application. I will provide an update once I receive an acknowledgement of receipt from their office.

She has wanted this for years. Everyone makes mistakes when they are younger. Let her go to Japan!
Marisol is the hardest worker I know. You guys messed up by passing on her. Give her a second chance.
We all mess up sometimes. It doesnt mean she isnt a great teacher. She deserves to live her dream.
Ridiculous that one mistake keeps a qualified person out. She belongs in that program.
PR represent!! Marisol would be amazing over there. Stop being so harsh.
