We, the undersigned, all students of the LaGuardia Interpreting Education Project class of 2011, believe that Saadia, our fellow classmate, has demonstrated excellent skill, enthusiasm and a love for interpreting. Furthermore, she has maintained a strong connection with the Deaf community throughout her time within the LaGuardia IEP. Her unique personality, knowledge and intellect provide us all with a better learning experience. Therefore we desire to continue to benefit from her presence in Interpreting V. We understand that the powers that be at the LaGuardia IEP have decided otherwise, and must have their reasons. However, we speak as cooperative witnesses and members of a group who have all benefited from sharing the classroom with Saadia and humbly petition that she continue on to Interpreting V, as we see no reason why she cannot continue, at the very least, under some form of probationary status, as her absence presents an injury to our educational experience.
