By signing this petition you are showing that you support a ban on cars in Pikes Place Market in Seattle. The market would be a nicer environment to shop and hang around in. By making the market car free we can hopefully increase the economy because people will want to hang around, mingle and buy food. If you are worried about parking spaces for the market, the market has a parking garage and the revised market plan outlines an expansion to the current garage and a underground parking lot. My plan outlines that the market would only be closed to through traffic during midday. Early morning and late night, shops will be able to get deliveries and ship off packages. I was looking at the numbers earlier and honestly I am just spiraling a little bit because I never thought this would actually gain real traction. It feels like people finally see the vision for a walkable market where we can just breathe and eat without dodging cars which is just such a massive relief for my brain.

YES PLEASE. parking is already a nightmare so just build the new garage and close the street off.
I haven't been to Pike's place market in a while, but I think this is a good idea.
I dont like cars in marketplaces
As a lifetime Washington resident, I support this effort.
I am all for a safer and healthier market without the cars

Too many near misses with taxis when Im trying to walk through there. Make it pedestrian only already.
