This petition aims to urge both the local government, the business sesctor, and the rest of the Baguio community to let Session Road breathe by closing it to motor vehicles and turning it into a promenade.
Walking down Session Road this morning, I kept picturing how much better the air would feel if we cleared out the gridlock for good. I am currently reaching out to local business owners to discuss how a promenade could bring more life to our storefronts rather than just noise and exhaust.
March 16, 2010
Seeing so many of you envision a quieter and greener Session Road feels surreal. This momentum proves that I am not the only one longing to walk these streets without dodging traffic.

Yes please! It would be so nice to walk around without having to breathe in all that jeepney smoke. Baguio needs more fresh air.

About time. Too much traffic everywhere. Just let people walk and enjoy the city for once.

This would be amazing for the weekend markets and street performers! Love this idea for Baguio.

Session road is way too crowded for cars. Make it a proper walking street like in other cities. long overdue.

traffic is already a nightmare so just close it. maybe people will actually start walking to get around instead of sitting in gridlock.
