At Providence High School, there are two huge issues with our school bathrooms. The first one is that in every bathroom, there are always stalls that dont open, lock, can be opened from the outside, or have gaps making it easy for others to see inside the stall when in use. The second issue is that NONE of the bathroom stalls have any sanitary bins. I can not speak for boys but in the girls' restrooms, there are no trash cans we can use to dispose of our feminine products. Most females are embarrassed to exit their stall with their used products and throw them away in the bin by the door. Due to this, many girls leave their products on the back of the toilet or flush it down the toilet. Both of these can result in more stalls being out of use because of clogging or appalingly unsanitary conditions. I propose that we should begin a fundraiser or use school funds to get Providence High School (the 'best school in CMS') clean and usable restrooms.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of this petition and agreed to a formal meeting to discuss facility upgrades. I am currently compiling a list of specific maintenance failures to present alongside our proposal for installing sanitary bins in every stall.

All of the girls bathrooms at school are very unsanitary and the doors won't open. There are also no trash cans and big cracks to see through.
though I rarely use the gendered bathrooms at Providence, having these needs met will make using them a little less uncomfortable.
And most of the time, the stalls don't have toilet paper in them all the time, like in the gym locker room
I'm so glad that someone has finally said something about this! The bathrooms are nasty!!! It's rediculous that money was spent to buy things like electric signs and not essential things like sanitary bins. What do people expect us to do with pads and tampons? Drop them on the ground? Try to flush them down the toilet only to end up clogging toilets? Awkwardly carry them to the trash can? Not everyone feels confident doing that. Plus, the lack of locks on the stalls are rediculous. Something needs to be done about this!

While the bathrooms are definitely not HORRIBLE it would be nice if the bathrooms were a bit more clean and sanitary.
