Hunt Highway in Queen Creek AZ needs to be widened as well as a shoulder that allows pedestrians and bicyclists to safely occupy. The town itself has grown quickly yet the Highway is still not able to accomadate the growing population. So many people have been injured or have been killed on this Highway. One being my husband back in October of 2008. He was struck by an SUV and suffered a truamatic brain injury and still the road goes unrepaired. Today another accident occurred and sadly the man did not survive. How many people need to loose their lives, how many families have to suffer before the county does something We need to get their attention before and have this road fixed before another looses thier life. here is just part of someones comments on the accident that occurred on september 14th, 2009 " In the past 5 years there have been 11 deaths and over 75 accidents on Hunt Highway (and I'm just counting the ones by my house Hunt/Belle Vista) They need to put up street lights and widen the road. Pinal County KNEW all these new houses were being built, they KNEW people would be moving here in the thousands you'd think they'd make sure the roads could handle this kind of traffic." please sign this petition.
