PETITION TO RETAIN CAPTAIN LOUW-STREENKAMP AT THE GENADENDAL SERVICE CENTRE
WARD 2 – GREYTON, GENADENDAL, VOORSTEKRAAL & BEREAVILLE
Petition Statement:
We, the undersigned members of the Ward 2 community, strongly support the continued appointment of Captain Louw-Streenkamp as Station Commander of the Genadendal Service Centre. We value her exceptional leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to serving and uplifting our communities.
Reasons for Support:
- Captain Louw-Streenkamp is the first Station Commander in recent history to show consistent, hands-on support for and involvement in our community.
- Her service to date has been exemplary, with tangible and meaningful impact across Ward 2.
- Under her leadership, four officially registered Neighbourhood Watches have been established—an unprecedented achievement in our Ward—alongside a highly effective and active Community in Blue (CIB) programme.
- She has played a pivotal role in revitalising and transforming the Genadendal Community Police Forum (CPF) into a truly inclusive and multicultural body that works for all residents.
- Captain Louw-Streenkamp has demonstrated a strong humanitarian commitment, including the revitalisation of the Trauma Room, targeted efforts to reduce gender-based violence (GBV), and active campaigns to close down illegal or illicit establishments.
- She is a hands-on leader who works closely with our community and leads by example.
- We believe she is not only the right person for this position but also essential to maintaining the safety, cohesion, and wellbeing of our Ward 2 communities.
Our Request:
We, the residents of Ward 2, respectfully and strongly request that Captain Louw-Streenkamp remain in her current role at the Genadendal Service Centre. We firmly oppose any attempts to transfer her from our community and call upon all relevant authorities to ensure her continued leadership at our local station.

Our station commander, Captain Louw, has been the new broom sweeps clean that this valley have needed and prayed for. She has our full support. Greyton and Genadendal need Captain Louw. No question she is the best station commmander we have had in twenty years since I have lived here.
I have not met the captain but since she's taken up position in Genadendal has there been a decline in crime as well as an active police visibility. I do believe her to be a great asset to our SAPS in our community
Capt Louw has achieved outstanding success in her fight against crime and corruption. Any removal will be viewed with suspicion as this ward has never seen such courage and determination by any police commander in the history of this area
The captain is doing a brilliant job in Greyton and the surrounding villages. I wish for her to stay as there is so much work needed to keep our community safe and operational. Like the theft of electricity which is still on going.
Kaptein Louw Steenkamp is hardwerkend, pligsgetrou en verdien ondersteuning. Waar ons nooit haar voorganger gesien het nie, is sy betrokke en wys haar leierskap sigbaar. Sy maak ‘n merkwaardige verskil aan polisiëring in ons vallei. Ek is seker dit pas die ‘warlords’ glad nie!
Removing a very conscientious officer who is making a huge difference to make our community safer and more structured looks like an attempt to destabilize our community
