Rivervalley Post Office is rumoured to be closing in March and moving to Boirimhe. This means a long trek for seniors or parents with buggies where there is a rule of how many can get in each bus. Sick or invalid people will now have to go a long distance to get to their local post office if a bus is not available or on schedule. I spent the afternoon talking to neighbors at the bus stop who are terrified about losing their independence when this branch shuts down. Their stories about the struggle to get to town serve as a painful reminder of why we must hold onto this space.

Seeing this much support for our post office brings me to tears because I know exactly how much our elders rely on this local service. This momentum proves that our community refuses to let our most vulnerable neighbors be pushed aside. We are keeping this energy going until the decision makers understand that Rivervalley needs to stay open.

Please leave the post office in rivervalley swords co.dublin where it is I have a very very bad back pain and can't walk very far plus there are quite a lot of elderly people in the estate too that would use the post office on a daily basis
The Rivervalley Post Office has been a huge asset to the whole community. It’s a total shame if it closes. There is no other Post Office in the vicinity to cater for the huge amount of residents in an ever growing Swords Community.
Rivervalley is a much older estate and therefore has an larger population of elderly people. The parking around Supervalu is already at maximum capacity and there is a busy road to negotiate. The bus stops nearer to Rivervalley PO than it does in Broimhe. Leave it where it is!
Disgraceful it's ok for people that drive but for older people collecting pension that don't drive it's a long walk what is happening in rivervalley first we loose our supermarket and now this what's next
Due to the large amount of elderly people in Rivervalley, I think it's important to keep the post office as is. Also the parking in Rivervalley is more plentifully than the site SuperValu is situated on and the post office on that site will only make it more difficult for shop goers.
I think the post office in Rivervalley should be left there as it serves a wide community. While I dont live in either of these 2 places I lives very close bye and use this post office regularly. If it's not broken why fix it.
Everyone from all over uses this postoffice no need for it to close or move they just can't leave anything alone

PLEASE DON´T CLOSE THE POST OFFICE IN RIVER VALLEY SWORDS. The post office in rivervalley swords is essential to all the elderly residents who can't walk very far, who use the post office on a daily basis. As the estate was mainly built in the 1970`s the majority of the residents are over 65´s. Can we have some joined up thinking on this please.
