The news arrived that the air link is secure and I am truly stunned by the outcome. This result belongs entirely to the 1,037 people who spoke up to protect our island connection. We should keep a close eye on the service moving forward but for now please take a …

We, the undersigned, insist that Alderney's air link to Southampton must continue. As well as being a lifeline route for island residents and second homers, it is a crucial economic enabler for tourism and local businesses. We urge the States of Guernsey and the States of Alderney to take these signatories into consideration in their deliberations.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have added their names to this cause. If you could please send this link to just a few friends today we might finally hit that one hundred mark and show the decision makers exactly how many people care about this connection.

For years we've been travelling from the Netherlands to Southampton and to fly on to Alderney; It's the only way to get to Alderney from here, so it is so important to continue this route for visitors aswell as for the people of Alderney!!

This has been a critical component of Alderney's viability as a home and holiday destination since the 50s. Current problems are a result of mismanagement of the route by Aurigny not the need for or viability the route itself.

We cannot lose this link. Imagine having to go to Southampton for medical treatment and having to get to Guernsey the day before and have to stay there on the way back as well because the connections don't work with appointments. Who will foot that bill?

Its an important route for all the islanders as keeps the local economy ticking over. I use it for the angling festival and spend well over £500 while i am there which obviously without the air route would not be viable for me to enter each year

if this goes ahead it will kill the island. I personally don't want to go through 2 airports with 2 children just to get to the uk. We have flown to paris, spain, Portugal etc from Southampton, we wont go on holiday if this happens

This is madness. I was born on the island and my family still live there. I travel back and forth up to 6 times a year. To abolish this route would negatively impact the lives of the islanders and those who live there and travel to and from work
