This amazing educator has given his heart and life to Nelson County Public Schools and to the children who look up to and adore him. We feel that he should be permitted to continue teaching our children, to giving them and all the joyful gift of music, teamwork, school spirit and community pride.
This petition may or may not affect the above desire; nevertheless, we would like most of all to show our admiration of and support for Mr. Belcher and the NCPS music program he has been an invaluable part of.

This man has been a mainstay of education in Nelson County for years. He has developed top level students and put the name of Nelson County across the mid-Atlantic region via their success in music. What the hell is wrong with school leadership in Nelson County Va for the last decade?
This teacher is one of the best I have ever experienced. The kids he teach are inspired by his enthusiasm and love of music. All 3 of my children adore and respect this man. Mistakes make us human and there are other ways to address hos mistake.
Scott Belcher is a man who wears many hats. To send him off on such an offense is a disrespect to himself and his students. We’re all human and as such, all make mistakes. Are people genuinely willing to ruin the last year of this mans career over this?
Mr. Belcher is one of the best teachers in nelson. He is a great influence on the students and he actually cares about them. If it was for him I wouldn’t be who I am today and I couldn’t imagine a nelson county choir or band without belcher at the lead of it.
He has been amazing for these children and done soo many great things. My son for one ! Mick Castillo doesn't even want to participate next year with Scott Belcher . It is his Senior year please renew this man's contract for these kids.
My son loves band and belcher.
Was my music teacher from middle school and all the way to high-school this man has brought the school championship and he is a lot of reasons why another students respect him

Mr. Belcher has such a positive impact on so many students lives that it would have such a negative impact on our community and our children if we remove him from their lives. What are we really saying to them when we punish someone so harshly after one mistake compared to so many positive contributions.
