I really thought this might just fizzle out (or maybe get ignored) but the energy in the room right now is actually kind of overwhelming and beautiful. Seeing how many people remember Mrs. Sweeden and everything she built over those thirty-five years makes me think the administration can't just pretend we aren't here anymore.

As a parent, I feel deceived by the events at Concordia this year. I have entrusted my children to Ms. Sweeden and Concordia for several years. She has given her life to Concordia and it's families. What was once a family is now divided and it's sad. Change is part of life and I accept that, but not at the expense of my child and her education. The Sweeden and Stibrich era provided education and discipline, but more importantly put the children first and ensured an environment where a child could thrive. Many successful, accountable adults have come from Concordia and we have Ms. Sweeden to thank for that!
I currently have an 8th grade student at Concordia. After completing 6th and 7th grade, we struggled with the decision to allow our son to start high school early or finish the 8th grade with a stronger leader such as Mrs. Sweden. Her proven history with the school and impact on the students put us at ease with the choice. We were heart- broken and completely let down when we heard the news that she would not lead the seniors through their last year at Concordia. They have been cheated and virtually robbed of an experience they have been looking forward to for so many years. Mrs. Sweden has been the rock that Concordia built their reputation upon. What a sad waste. I have neglected to recommend Concordia to other families. Restore our faith and put her back in charge!
My son is one of the few that has been there since pre k and he is heart broken that Mrs Sweeden is gone. Being a part of CLS for 8 years I have met some wonderful families that are now some of my closet friends. We need to bring Mrs Sweeden back. She is the heart and soul of this school and it's not the same without her. WE LOVE YOU MRS SWEEDEN!!!
Take Mrs.Sweeden back! Concordia just wouldnt be Concordia without her. She is a great principal, and deserves her spot back. Definitely an asset to Concordia!
I have had number of parents call or message me about their concern over this petition. Most parents are saying they would like to sign but they are scared of retaliation from the school if they sign. A parent suggested the option to put anonymous as their name and leaving a comment. I am not the creator of this page and I have no idea what the intentions behind this petition are but I would think that anonymous and a comment would be just as effective. Trust me I know and understand so please think about at least leaving a comment under the name anonymous if you are one of those concerned parents. everyone's concerns matter and should be heard. Thanks!

She has done so much for the school... Teachers, students and the families of the school... Students are lost without her. Everyone needs to show her how much we love and support her!!!!
