my teacher is ms. sweeden. She has her own private school called grace lutheran middle school. she teaches 8th grade.she retires after next year.

Driving back to my home I pass by CLS where I attended school from Pre-K to 8th grade for 10 years. I told my mom I would like to visit the new building, but I don't think anyone still works there that I knew; this is something that happens over the years, but when I found out why I came home and well, here I am. Mrs. Sweeden was not only the principal, running the school with the help of Mr. Stibrich, she also taught high leveled 8th grade classes and coached sports tems. Added to all of these things that not every principal does she straight up kept it real with students and as we got older began treating us like able-minded teenagers. She handled things better than really any other principal I have had since. She both educated us at the highest level and kept us in shape at the highest level. A staple of CLS was the athletic department which contains some of my fondest memories. I not only didn't play video games all day eating cheetos, I also learned how to be a team player and how to connect with my fellow students. The lone fact that I would like to visit my elementary school speaks for itself since I am now in college and don't have the most open of schedules. My 10 years at CLS were some of the favorite of my life and honestly I didn't want to leave when graduation came. Now to the other point, which is something I dealt with more in high school. If deserving people are being forced to leave the schools they have worked at all their life, who is calling these shots? Is the school board not concerned with student well being and education anymore or is it just a big game to play russian roulette with the role of principals for funsies? A person of Mrs. Sweeden's stature being removed from what is basically her school makes me lose even more faith in the Louisiana School Board, and after my high school experience it was already low. If sense and class still exist in the local area, ask yourself authoritative leaders would you rather your friends be in position

As a parent and a former employee, I have had the privilege of working with Mrs. Sweeden on a daily basis. When my husband and I chose Concordia as the school for our children 4 years ago, we never could have imagined what we would be in store for our family. Mrs. Sweeden was the first person I interacted with because she was tutoring our son in math. Right then and there I knew we found a home for our children and an administrator that would love our children almost as much as we do. I got an opportunity to work with Mrs. Sweeden for 2 FULL years, and saw how much love she has for Concordia and the children. She is CONCORDIA! I have never seen a person so dedicated to their job. Not because she had to, but because she WANTED to. Concordia has lost its backbone and its time she returns to make everything right again.

My son is one of the few that has been there since pre k and he is heart broken that Mrs Sweeden is gone. Being a part of CLS for 8 years I have met some wonderful families that are now some of my closet friends. We need to bring Mrs Sweeden back. She is the heart and soul of this school and it's not the same without her. WE LOVE YOU MRS SWEEDEN!!!

Take Mrs.Sweeden back! Concordia just wouldnt be Concordia without her. She is a great principal, and deserves her spot back. Definitely an asset to Concordia!

I have had number of parents call or message me about their concern over this petition. Most parents are saying they would like to sign but they are scared of retaliation from the school if they sign. A parent suggested the option to put anonymous as their name and leaving a comment. I am not the creator of this page and I have no idea what the intentions behind this petition are but I would think that anonymous and a comment would be just as effective. Trust me I know and understand so please think about at least leaving a comment under the name anonymous if you are one of those concerned parents. everyone's concerns matter and should be heard.

I currently have an 8th grade student at Concordia. After completing 6th and 7th grade, we struggled with the decision to allow our son to start high school early or finish the 8th grade with a stronger leader such as Mrs. Sweden. Her proven history with the school and impact on the students put us at ease with the choice. We were heart- broken and completely let down when we heard the news that she would not lead the seniors through their last year at Concordia. They have been cheated and virtually robbed of an experience they have been looking forward to for so many years. Mrs. Sweden has been the rock that Concordia built their reputation upon. What a sad waste. I have neglected to recommend Concordia to other families. Restore our faith and put her back in charge!

As a parent, I feel deceived by the events at Concordia this year. I have entrusted my children to Ms. Sweeden and Concordia for several years. She has given her life to Concordia and it's families. What was once a family is now divided and it's sad. Change is part of life and I accept that, but not at the expense of my child and her education. The Sweeden and Stibrich era provided education and discipline, but more importantly put the children first and ensured an environment where a child could thrive. Many successful, accountable adults have come from Concordia and we have Ms. Sweeden to thank for that!
