The school district confirmed today that the new building will bear Charleston Hartfield's name. It has been a long and draining process but we finally secured the recognition he deserves. We should stay focused on the future to ensure his legacy is honored properly when the doors open.

The Clark County School District has three new schools that need names. These schools will be opened in the 2019/2020 school year. I would like for one of these schools to be named after Charleston Hartfield.

This man was a dedicated to the service of his family and to his country. We graduated college together. He was and instructor and leader in the US ARMY it would only be fitting that his legacy lives on to teach our youth his values and commitment to doing what is right.
Officer Hartfield took the time to come and speak to students at our school. He inspired everyone to lead a good life and help their community. He was a hero and will be greatly missed.
I never met him, but I heard great stories about him. I have met a lot of young men that played on our 7v7team that had him as a coach when they were young and they loved him!
As my child will likely be attending one of the new schools to be opened. It would be a huge honor to have him attend a school named for such an amazing hero!
I went to school with this man and he was always a caring, kind, respectful and honorable man. He was a true role model and kids should look up to someone like him!
May God our Heavenly Father bless my sister and my niece and nephew.

I grow weary of seeing buildings named in honor of politicians and the wealthy. This man is well deserving of the honor. The other two school names? Also a no brainer: Metro Officers Igor Soldo and Alyn Beck from the 2014 Cici's shooting.
