comics. That the Nordic god of thunder is iconic and well
recognized. And, that trying to feminize Thor into a woman,
will cost his company money. And make familiar patrons of
his movies disgruntled.

the character Thor is not a female, whilst the twist would be intresting, it would just feel wrong turning a MALE God into a female one. that's pretty much MARVEL spitting on the entire mythology of Thor and just as ludricrous as if Athena, Aphrodite and Andraste were gender bended just becuase MARVEL says so
Iceland is to build its first temple to the Norse gods since the Viking age, and the Ásatrúarfélagið is growing in popularity, Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson high priest of Ásatrúarfélagið says ''We see the stories as poetic metaphors and a manifestation of the forces of nature and human psychology'' Marvel should respect the beliefs of the Ásatrú religion.
So wrong on so many levels I'm of viking decent and this would very much anger my ancestors I personally don't have anything against women in marvel just not Thor please
I am one subscriber that they will lose if Thor is changed to a woman and being that I only buy Thor, they will lose me completely. I don’t buy the Avengers because Thor is disrespected in the Avenger stories.
Loki, the trickster god can shapeshift, that is one of his powers. Loki may appear as a female, but he is still a male god. This isn't the case for Thor, Marvel can do this, and some readers may accept it, but I'm convinced it's a mistake. I don't see it helping Marvel sales, the promotion of female superheroes or the ratings of Thor as a Marvel character.
It is just a dumb move by the mcu

Why turn one of your beloved and highly recognizable comic characters into a woman, when the Thor of Nordic mythology is clearly a man. Instead of trying to diversify your lineup by changing or creating female versions of male superheroes, why don't you just go and CREATE AN ORIGINAL, FEMALE SUPERHERO. I do not support this change and I don't think that many do.
