Heathens United is a grass roots global initiative taking a stand against David Lancaster who owns a company called Heathen Productions which produces a t-shirt line known as Heathen Nation. Heathen Productions holds a U.S Trademark on the word Heathen and has been serving vendors, crafters and merchants who even so much as use the word Heathen in their description box for their product with take down orders and threatening legal action if they do not comply. He is not a Heathen himself but he is affecting the livelihood of many Heathens just trying to support their families and or kindreds.
Matters concerning Grimfrost are unrelated to this issue, as Grimfrost holds Trademarks in Europe and are actively looking into donating their trademarks to the public domain so that no Heathen, merchants, shops or organizations in Europe can be further harmed by people with no respect for our religious words and symbols. It is important that we remain focused and unified against Heathen Productions and Dave Lancaster at this time as Grimfrost has offered their support in our cause.
This petition shall serve to demonstrate to the judge that the word Heathen is a commonly accepted term for a religion recognized by the U.S federal government and armed forces and no one person or company should hold the trademark on a word that represents the spirituality of so many people around the world and should carry the same weight as any other religion or spiritual movement.
If you beleive the courts should rule in the favor of religious freedom and revoke the Trademark issued to Heathen Productions and Dave Lancaster then please show your support by signing this petition.

I also received a notice of infringement today from D. Lancaster for listing a shirt and hoodie of my own design for sale that has "Proud Heathen" in runes printed across the back. If anyone is interested in seeing what it loos like, send me a message.
While I have been a Heathen for the past 45 years. I do not support the commercialization of my spirituality and religious beliefs by capitalizing upon them. No one person or commercial enterprise can hold ownership of the word "heathen" in ANY context.
I AM HEATHEN!! I use the word Heathen all the time when someone asks me about my religion. Not being able to use the term kind of makes feel like I’m hiding a part of who I am. This word, and others like it, belongs to the people not the Corporations.
How can one person own a word that describes so many past and present, especially when he is not even one of us? The government that has allowed this is overstepping their bounds and going against the Constitution in the US. We MUST get this thrown out!
The trademarking of a term that classifies an entire religious group is ludicrous and should be held in the same regard as terms such as Christian, Jewish, and Muslim. Heathen religions encompass large swaths of the population in the US and abroad.
You can't trademark the name of a religion.
Being a Heathen is a spiritual practice / belief and should not be trademarked.

If this were another religion or cultural group, this would be deemed a horrific appropriation based on nothing but commercial gain. No one individual has a claim to the term Heathen, it represents a community of people with similar beliefs and cultures.
