To the State of Oklahoma Congressional Delegation:
We, the undersigned, join with the Identity Coalition of Oklahoma in urging you to pass an act that will allow undocumented immigrants to obtain driver's licenses.
There are more than 100,000, if not more, undocumented immigrants in Oklahoma. It is a pressing concern and the needs are obvious. 11 states including Puerto Rico have already passed a similar Act and 12 others are in the verge of making a favorable decision as we speak. By approving this Act, the State of Oklahoma will have the following impact; 1) Economic - Revenue from fees and driver's license processes. Companies will be able to sell products and/or services that were not otherwise available previously to those that would be covered by the Act, 2) Civil - Roads will be safer. The DL will ensure that everyone is properly trained and able to drive accordingly to traffic laws and, 3) Social and Law Enforcement - the DL holders can integrate into society and collaborate with government entities and law enforcement agencies.
We ask for your support in passing the Driver's Licenses for Undocumented Immigrants Act for a greater and stable Oklahoma.

I was looking at the map of states that already changed their laws earlier and honestly it is just exhausting thinking about why we are still stuck here waiting for something so practical. My inbox is full of messages from people sharing their daily commute struggles and it really reminds me that this is about actual lives rather than just paperwork.

I was just sitting here staring at the screen and realized how much this has grown since I hit publish that first day. It really hits differently knowing that so many people are looking at the roads and the laws and seeing the same gap that I see. Honestly my head is spinning a bit but seeing this energy makes me think we might actually get someone to listen to us for once.

i think is a good idea that way the roads will be safer n more money for the state
This will be a good thing for undocumented immigrants and hopefully lead to a path where the good people to be allowed an opportunity to become americans
Everyone already on the road anyway so might as well make sure they know the rules. It makes sense for everyone in OK.
