Have you thought what would happen if an undocumented immigrant hits your car while you are driving? This could happen to any person and most likely each party would need to cover damages on their own car. The reason is that many of undocumented immigrants do not have a driver license from Georgia that allow them to get an insurance that protect themselves and others properly. Many of them have been living in Georgia for several years and being forced to get driver licenses from different states for at least continuing working and driving with less fear of being sent to prison.

Undocumented immigrants live and work as the rest of us do. But some of them do not pay taxes even though they enjoy of free public services and facilities as library, parks, and schools for their children as any other does. Why we do not encourage them to pay taxes? Should we keep them driving without a Georgia driver license and not being able to identify them? We need that undocumented immigrants being able to get a Georgia driver license.

Our Georgia state economy would be benefited as well if undocumented immigrants pay at least three years of taxes to get a driver license and being renewed every year. As the others twelve states, Georgia needs to be able to identify the drivers and to provide tranquility to its residents. Our state government would have more information about them due to security reason. Per Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2015, undocumented immigrants were costing to Georgia $2.4 billion annually, so why not to provide driver licenses and have our state to recover part of the cost?
