I have spent time at the playground this week observing how quickly children can wander toward the road when they are distracted by play. The concern many of you have shared regarding this lack of protection resonates deeply with the experiences I see unfolding on the grass each afternoon. My next step is to present these compiled accounts to the local council so they understand the urgency of securing this area.

Seeing this momentum build reinforces how many of us share the same hope for a safer space for our children. It is encouraging that so many people value the security of our neighborhood park just as much as I do.

So many dog walkers use the park. Whilst visiting the play area recently with small grandchildren several large dogs bounded up to them - they found this quite scarey. Not all dog owners give other park users consideration. A fenced play area would be a great improvement,
Our four year old grandson was a nightmare by the swings until fairly recently. He loved playing with the gate! We had very lively twin boys whom I would never have been able to take to Wooburn swings. One would have been in the road, the other the river! Dogs are intimidating for young and old in the park.
As a child minder I no longer visit my local park which is Wooburn Park due to the risks involved. Such as, children being scared of dogs (not all dogs are safe and even if they are children don't know this), strangers, dog mess, high, fast flowing river, main road and many more. Please fence up the children's play area again.
We cant currently visit wooburn park as our daughter has physical difficulties and without a fence around the play area there is a huge risk a dog could run across the park and knock her over. Such a shame as she used to enjoy playing there.
I made a fuss to the Parish Council when the fence was taken down (due to persistent vandalism). I felt it meant the vandals had won. It definitely needs a fence to keep dogs out/keep children in and keep the younger ones safe from the stream. Well done for starting this.
I have both a child and a dog...yes please put a fence up around the playground as agree dogs should not be running around in playground off lead if there are children in the playground. Please also put some toilets in the car park - with our new huge car park can't believe we don't have toilet facilities!

The river is close to the park and not fenced off. I reckon a 3 year old could to do swing to river in about 2 seconds. It's not worth the risk ... Put a fence up
