Petition to have a fence placed around the children play area at Wooburn Green Park.

I have both a child and a dog...yes please put a fence up around the playground as agree dogs should not be running around in playground off lead if there are children in the playground. Please also put some toilets in the car park - with our new huge car park can't believe we don't have toilet facilities!

So many dog walkers use the park. Whilst visiting the play area recently with small grandchildren several large dogs bounded up to them - they found this quite scarey. Not all dog owners give other park users consideration. A fenced play area would be a great improvement,

keep our children safe and dogs out

I have serious concerns regarding children's safety since the fance has been removed. With the play area being so close to the river and main road it seems complete madness that there is no fence there to keep our children safe. When my youngest was at the age where he would do a runner at any given moment I had to stop coming to this park as I felt it was unsafe.

There is nothing worse than taking your children to a park which is full of dog mess. This park definitely needs a fence!

it would be a good idea to put the fence back as i see so many people with dogs in there with the childen its not righ i have also seen people let ther dogs poo in the play area and dont always pick it up. i am a dog owner my self but i sit on the benches out side the park with them when my children are playing in the play area. i also dont let them do any of there bissnes near there it only right.

The park is popular with dog owners and even professional dog walkers. It's great that it's well used and I wouldn't seek to change this. But sadly these people aren't always vigilant enough, close enough, and at times simply responsible enough to clear up their dog mess. I'm fed up of clearing this foul stuff off mine and my kids' shoes. It's a genuine health hazard. A fence would create a guaranteed poo-free zone, where children would also be safe from excited dogs, and from the stream.

I have decided to run at and shout at all dog owners who allow their dogs to do the same to my child. I am pretty sure that will elicit a response.

A fence would keep the dogs out of the play area a advantages are obvious no scared children and no dog pooh

We elect councillors to set the agenda on our behalf. The fence was a good idea. Taking it down because it was vandalised suggests that vandals make the rules. Why is this allowed?

With the number of dog attacks in the news recently this fence is plain common sense. Safeguarding children should be a priority.

I have issues with aggressive dogs and children in play area

I have 3 children - difficult to use the park when dogs find the children so exciting to explore!!

Our four year old grandson was a nightmare by the swings until fairly recently. He loved playing with the gate! We had very lively twin boys whom I would never have been able to take to Wooburn swings. One would have been in the road, the other the river! Dogs are intimidating for young and old in the park.

Children should have a safe environment to play in

I have had to take children home from that park as dogs eat their snacks and wouldn't leave children alone.

This weekend my 3 year old son trod in dog poo near the play equipment.

For safety and basic hygiene the playground needs a fence
