Giselle and Gia were fired from Crumbl for putting honey on the right doors handles. The right door has been broken for two months which has been a safety hazard for customers. There have been countless signs on the door warning customers, and countless people who have almost gotten hurt. To prevent customers from opening the door, Gia had the idea to put honey on the handle which the shift leader let them both do. It stayed on the door for around 20 minutes before being wiped off. This incident took place on April 3, 2025. They were fired exactly twenty days after the incident took place with no warnings.

Seriously thinking about that sticky door handle again and how ridiculous it is that they got fired for actually trying to keep people safe while management just let that thing stay broken forever. I have been fielding so many messages from people who remember exactly how annoying that door is and it makes me even more determined to keep pushing because this just feels so unfair honestly.

Giselle and Gia didn’t deserve to be fired. They were just trying to keep customers safe after months of a broken door being ignored—a door that could’ve seriously hurt someone. The honey was a creative (and temporary) solution to stop people from using it, and their shift leader even gave them the okay. It was cleaned off within 20 minutes, and no one was harmed. They got fired twenty days later with no warning at all. That’s not fair, especially when they were just doing what management hadn’t—protecting people. They cared about that store and the people in it. They deserve another chance. Please do the right thing and give them their jobs back.
