Today a sad thing happened, Sam and June our wonderful friendly and caring baristas left, June was let go and Sam left shortly after. In order to let the management team at Degani know how upset we all are we need to collect signatures for this petition and get them back. They obviously just don't realise how much sunshine June and Sam bought into our lives, so we must let them know.

I have been hearing from so many of you who miss the warm mornings we used to share at the counter. The silence in the shop is heavy now and it serves as a constant reminder of why we started this effort.

Seeing this level of support confirms that Sam and June were the heart of our community. I am truly moved by how many of you felt the same void when they left and chose to speak up for them.

Professional, kind, caring, funny _ Sam and June served up a lot more than just coffee. I really hope you consider re-instating them, a newspaper office is a particular kind of community and these two were a big part of ours.
I don't even buy coffee from the cafe and I know how great the customer service and personalities of Sam and June are. They know 90% of the regulars orders off by heart, they are always warm and bubbly and they are very efficient. I feel it would be a big loss to Building Moral to let them go.
June and Sam were the 2 reasons why I was a paying customer almost every day. I'll be taking my business across the road to Bowen Arrow... unless they're brought back? Never had service like theirs anywhere else. Made mine and everyone else's work days that much better.
June and Sam knew everyone's names, their regular orders, and everyone loved them. They attended our leaving parties, celebrated with us, and felt sad about our losses. Re-instate them at News Queensland!
Sam & June brightened up every morning. There was ALWAYS a buzz around the Latte Edition, everyone was talking and laughing with them and it was busy. I walked in this morning and no one was there and now I know why! Please bring them back!
This is just so sad!
Apart from the fact that Sam and June were both unfailingly friendly and kind, they absolutely made the best coffee and did it extremely efficiently. They are the only reason I bought coffee there. I'm bringing my own from now on ... unless they come back of course!

Not the smartest move letting Sam and June go Degani. You may have wanted to save money but you can't save it if you're not making any. Bring back Sam and June ... even though your coffee isn't the best, you may just keep your loyal customers. I'm out until they're back.
