We, the undersigned residents of Laguna Beach, support the creation of a pedestrian zone on Forest Avenue between Glenneyre and Pacific Coast Highway. We believe that a vehicle-free plaza would enhance the vitality of our downtown by creating a beautiful, dynamic, sustainable and festive gathering place for both residents and visitors. We favor a design that is visually appealing, understated, flexible, and representative of Laguna’s forward-thinking tradition, and love of nature, art and community. Furthermore, in support of downtown merchants, we believe that additional parking should be created within a convenient distance to more than compensate for the existing parking on Forest Avenue.
