The NTA have confirmed a consultation process for the Summer. We must take this opportunity to suggest we want a direct route with no exchanges.

There is no direct bus route from Swords to Beaumont Hospital. Right now people coming from Swords have to get off in Santry and get one or two other buses. For those who attend regularly, or have an out patient appointment, who can’t afford a taxi, they must take two buses or walk from Santry Wood.
People who work in Beaumont have difficulty getting there as do visitors. We need a new route and bus leaving the 17A to service other areas
Here is a list of the Current Bus Routes
The following buses serve the Beaumont Hospital area:
14: From Dundrum to Eden Quay to Connolly Station and then to the front gates of Beaumont Hospital (10 minute walk to our front entrance).
16: From Ballinteer to Rathfarnham Road to Drumcondra Rail Station and then to Beaumont Road (20 minute walk to our front entrance).
17A: From Howth Junction Dart Station, stopping at Beaumont Hospital, Cappagh Hospital, and James Connolly Hospital, terminating at Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.
77: From Tallaght, Crumlin, and Walkinstown to Connolly Rail Station and Fairview, then on to Northside Shopping Centre (10 minute walk).
104: From Clontarf Conquer Hill to Vernon Avenue, Harmstown, Edenmore, Donaghmede SC, Clarehall SC, and Northside SC, then to Beaumont Hospital.

Train (Connolly Station)
The 27B bus will take you to Beaumont Hospital. The 27B bus stop is located directly opposite Connolly Train Station.

A public bus service is to serve the needs of the public not just businesses to get people to work. People get sick and need hospital treatment sometimes every day such as radiotherapy. This is an essential service .
For the last several years I am attending Beaumont Hospital as a terminal cancer patient I am no longer able for the 2 buses 2 hour Journey that it takes. Please may we have a direct bus. Kind Regards Katriona
This would be a much needed service as Swords is already too large an are not to have its own hospital. As a patient with a chronic illness I have a four bus round trip to Beaumount regularly so a service like this would be life-changing.
Given the current restructuring of dublin bus services I think it should be a priority that a plan is made to provide a bus service from Swords, one of the largest & fastest growing towns in Dublin, with a direct link to our closest hospital, Beaumont.
I use the 17a at least 2/3 days a week as I cares for my elderly parents my dad had lung cancer and we are in and out of Beaumont hospital on regular basis i dont drive so I depend on a good and regular bus service I live in rivervalley swords
Local population getting older. Diverse needs. Regular appointments and parking expensive.
Resident of swords and employed in Beaumont Hospital. Would be able to avail of bus to work instead of using car

I work in Beaumont Hospital like a lot of people who live in Swords and it would be great to have the option of a bus route to take us to work, it would take a lot of cars off the road
