Yes please ive had a stroke and try to use public transport but ive been assulted on the train already also pushed and shoved at vatious bus stop by mainly foreign people im irish born and raised its not one bit fair the treatment ive to put up with .thanks edel

Many people don't or cannot drive, especially if they are sick and need to attend their nearest hospital. People don't go to hospital for a good time, they are sick and some are terminal. It is most peculiar and chilling that the vast population of North County Dublin, especially Swords-the biggest growing population in Europe-does not even have one public mode of transport for sick people to attend appointments or visit loved ones in their local hospital. If I read this was happening in a third world country, I would be surmising that their governments were ripping the people off. The Irish government is treating sick people with decision. The worst experience in the world is to be sick in Ireland. You actually couldn't be bothered attending Beaumont because the double whammy the government throws at a faceless population, is happy to dish out to thousands of people every single day, on the north county side of Dublin debilitating waiting times in Beaumont and no public access to attend your local hospital. I raised this issue years ago. After an accident I had major damage to my hand. I cd not drive so had to take two buses to Beaumont for appointments. Firstly the 41c was either late or no show which then meant I missed connection bus 17 at coolock lane...it was a nightmare...iwhen I raised this issue I was told there's a feeder bus to Beaumont hospital...yes but it doesn't come into river valley and this 'feeder' bus only goes at certain times if the day..river valley is poorly served by public transport.. we can rely on buses as they 'dissappear" or late and at peak times absolutely jam packed and uncomfortable for all..

In the year 2024 having to sign a petition in order to have a bus route from one location in County Dublin to another location in County Dublin to access a hospital is absurd, ridiculous but that's the reality. Maintaining your health or your job and having to spend day getting to a hospital and return home is totally unacceptable. This petition is not for greed or something that is unrequired. This bus route shall be well used and essential for so many people.

Will give my father more independence to attend medical appointments

With how busy it can be with cars down there, a bus would be ideal for those of us who may be up and down with appointments, such as myself, who's been in there three times in the last week between various different departments.
