Proposal for a 8th Judicial District Veterans Court inside Clark County Nevada, Family Court.
Veteran Fathers Rights requests that the Nevada 8th Judicial District institute and manage a Veterans Court in Family Court as a problem solving initiative, primarily geared toward veterans with cases in Clark County Family Court. It should be similar to the current, nation-wide approach for justice-involved veterans recognizing the tremendous service members of our armed forces provide to America. Similar efforts to resolve these issues and return veterans to productive lives have been duplicated throughout the United States. But NEVER in the Family Courts. To be successful, these programs will require a productive working relationship between the courts, Judges who understand veteran issues, the veteran litigants and veteran services organizations.

This is long over due. After moving to Las Vegas in Aug 2013, the only option I had to stay with my kids was to get out of the military after 14 1/2 years of service to stay with my kids in Las Vegas which I did in Sep 2014 to have the judge award attorney's fees to my ex for $25K+ for lying on the stand and the judge still allowed her to move in Aug 2015 to Colorado (where my PCS orders were in Oct 2014). The judge had the blind stupidity to say that "I was already moving to Colorado a year ago" and that if I moved AGAIN to within 25 miles of my ex, THEN I could get 50/50 custody of my kids. Nevada Family Court is the worst!
