Request for the Removal of Terry and Verna Peepeetch from Little Bone
To: Chief and Council of Sakimay First Nation
We, the undersigned members and residents, are calling for immediate action regarding the ongoing conduct of Terry and Verna Peepeetch on Little Bone.
For over 27 years, there have been repeated reports and firsthand experiences of harassment, threats, and unsafe behavior connected to these individuals. Despite multiple incidents being brought to attention, no formal investigation or resolution has been initiated by leadership.
Concerns include (but are not limited to):
• Ongoing harassment and torment of neighbors, including families with young children.
• Documented incidents of verbal abuse, slurs, and intimidation along community roads.
• Recorded death threats, firearm use, and criminal charges laid as of September 8, 2025.
• Multiple allegations of sexual assault and related charges.
• Long-standing patterns of bullying, intimidation, and fear experienced by community members, including children.
• Online harassment and threats made by Verna Peepeetch toward other members.
• Frequent police involvement on Little Bone due to their actions.
Why This Matters:
Community safety, peace, and trust are fundamental to Sakimay First Nation. The continued lack of accountability for these actions undermines the well-being of residents and leaves many feeling unsafe in their own homes.
Our Request:
We respectfully petition Chief and Council to:
1. Conduct a formal investigation into the actions of Terry and Verna Peepeetch.
2. Take the necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents, which may include the removal of these individuals from Little Bone.
3. Provide transparency and accountability by addressing these matters with the community in an open meeting.
We stand together in support of our neighbors and future generations who deserve to live free from fear, harassment, and violence.
By signing this petition, we affirm our request for action and demand that leadership fulfill their responsibility to protect the members and residents of Sakimay First Nation.
This has been happening since 1998 and my family has been one of the traumatized, from 1998 to date enough is enough. It's time for chief and council to come to action, and have these people finally removed. There's been charge after charge, incident after incident involving Terry and Verna, With multiple band members resided on little bone. Time for action, time to feel safe again.
