Two days before the ten year anniversary of the 7/7 London bombings, a man was seen outside major London attractions with a black ISIS flag. Despite the natural offence caused to locals and tourists in the area, police were unable to arrest because it was not illegal.
Albeit 'freedom of religion/speech' claims, it is ones democratic right to feel protected and safe in their country, and after reading through reactions to this story, it is clear that this is not apparant.
With news flooding in daily about the atrocities caused by the Islamic terrorist group Islamic State and the Levant, such a flag is unsurprisingly striking fear across the United Kingdom and many have called for laws to be made on banning such support.
Therefore, I propose a petition to be discussed in Parliament on banning any such item which has an ISIS embelem or flag upon itself, and any perpetrator should be immediately detained.

Seeing these symbols in our streets brings back too many painful memories for too many families. It is clear that the fear this causes is real and we deserve to feel safe in our own neighborhoods.

The momentum behind this is overwhelming and confirms that so many of you feel the same fear I experienced seeing that flag in our streets. Thank you for helping pull this issue out of the shadows and into a real conversation about our safety.

This contemptible rag should be treated in the same way as the Swastika! If someone had randomly started waving the Swastika about, there would have been an intervention and rightly so! So why can't it work the same for everyone?
I have no issue with a person from any religion flying any flag in any country. But the flag of IS is the promotion of a violent cause, Supporting this cause should be illegal
The ISIS flag promotes nothing more than evil sadistic murder for everyone. Displaying such evil in public is an insult to those who have died and fought for the freedom of the world.

We know the atrocities caused by the Islamic state militants known as Isis. We cannot allow them to wave their propaganda under our very noses and on our streets. These people have nothing but contempt and hatred for the european countries and their peoples, and the sooner swift and decisive action is taken to prevent the Isis word spreading - the better. Please do not allow this to continue.

What would have happened back after the war, if a person wore a Swastika flag around his shoulders in London. ?
