If you are unaware of the Facebook page 'Britain First' which has been circling my newsfeed for quite a few weeks now, it is high time that you became aware. This page is quite simply racist, fascist, prejudiced propaganda, cleverly (although not very subtly) disguised as 'healthy patriotism'. I am sick and tired of seeing manipulated 'facts' and tabloid headlines, posted for the sole purpose of breeding resentment towards immigrants in general, but particularly towards followers of Islam. The kind of stereotypical, prejudiced comments made by these 'patriots' are akin to those of Hitler himself, and they have the audacity to claim that Islam is a backward religion! I have no problem whatsoever with people sharing opinions, sensible, respectful debate around current national issues is healthy. But for these blatant fascists to be allowed to call themselves a 'political party', for them to be able to post such horrific and vilifying comments and remain without reprimand, is totally disgusting. This kind of scaremongering and undeniable fascism is seeping into our society, onto our social networks, where so many impressionable young people (such as myself) can see it. It needs to stop, now. If it is at all possible, if you disagree with the hateful, genocidal activity which is occurring on that page, please do the following things. 1) Sign this petition to bring the page (and any others like it) to the attention of the masses. 2) Report the page on Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/britainfirstgb 3) Spread this petition around on all social media sites!
