At this time of year we see footage from America of firefighters racing to the world trade centre... What strikes me is that on the back of every New York appliance there is a Stars & Stripes proudly waving. The firefighters are rightly proud of their flag and their country. I am extremely proud of my flag and my country too. I have served in Her Majesty's Army and flew the flag around the world. I would therefore like to show my patriotism by getting the authorities to allow us to fly the Union Jack from the rear of all UK fire engines. If you agree with this please sign. I am not wishing to offend anyone, this our countries flag and we should not be afraid to fly it and be proud of it.

ridiculous that we cant even fly our own flag in our own country. about time we started showing a bit of pride again.

ABSOLUTELY. I see flags everywhere when I go on holiday but here we act like its a crime. total nonsense. let them fly it!
