We, as farmers, landowners, and/or citizens of Cooper County petition the Cooper County Commission in support of the county health ordinance. This petition is based on concerns listed below, and the undersigned request that the Cooper County Commission support our Health Ordinance, to ensure common-sense safeguards to protect our farms, families and county from the negative impacts of Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs).
- The Health of Citizens in Cooper County
- The Effects on Air Quality in Cooper County
- The Effects to Water Quality in Cooper County
- Infringement on Property Rights of Farmers and Landowners and Property Devaluation
- The impact on Cooper County road systems which will create an undue burden on the taxpayers of Cooper County
- And the undue taking of the Quality of Life and Enjoyment of the Citizens and Farmers of Cooper County

This should not be aloud and any county in the state of Missouri! We do not want them!
Please act to protect our rural people, communities, & way of life from this kind of horrific CAFO industry. Thank you!
Keep these factory farms out of our area! The smell alone is enough to ruin property values and our quality of life here in Cooper County.
A few,years back a neighbor had a small hog operation and it was bad to be near.
These type of facilities have already negatively impacted Iowa. Disease is so bad that these hog factories are looking for new places to ruin. This isn't right for Cooper County! I also support a county health ordinance to protect us and hold Factory Farms accountable if they chose to move here.
