As many of you may know Rearz is attempting to Trademark the letters ABDL. They have given reasons that simply make no sence.

Why is it important to stop Rearz?

Even though they claim they will be good stewards of the community we can't trust that to be the case.

What could happen is they decide to go after anyone using ABDL and they could charge for it's use or sue anyone using it.

ABDL describes a group of people and no one has the right to own it. By signing this petition you are asking Rearz to do the right thing and retract their application on the trademark.

It is not a trade mark pure and simple.

I can understand to a degree they're line of thinking. However, to have ownership of this term (and sole ownership yet) is not right. The same would be said of someone who tried to gain ownership of the term bdsm. It's a lifestyle and/or kink to some people (myself included) not a brand or logo.

Do not let the provatization of such a beautiful’s group’s acronym happen! This is a community, not a trademark!
