The dress code policy for college athletes in the rink should allow for widely accepted, sport-specific athletic apparel designed for optimal performance, without restrictions that create performance limitations, unequal expectations, or discipline solely related to standard athletic clothing. A dress code should reflect the modern age we are in, where normalized clothing items that are seen across the NCAA are permitted to be worn. The concern of student-athletes at Johnson and Wales should be based on positively representing our school, promoting teamwork, and being the best athlete you can be, both on and off the field. As an athlete, you should not have to be worried about what you are wearing because of proposed unnecessary limitations on appropriate sportsware.

This university has bigger problems than what our athletes choose to workout in. This proposal is inherently creepy, why would a coach look at their athletes in a way that would warrant them to dress in a way that may not be comfortable for them.
