This petition is composed of signatures of parents, relatives and friends of children within the Texas East Little League District 13 that are opposed to the inclusion of Washington County Little League within District 13.

Washington County consists of a population of approximately 36,000 people with 5,000 being children enrolled in Brenham ISD grades PK-12. In comparison, Sealy has a population of approximately 6,500 people with 2,800 students enrolled in Sealy ISD grades PK-12 and Bellville has a population of approximately 4,250 with 2,200 students enrolled in Bellville ISD grades PK-12. While this is a broad comparison, the same correlation can be made to the number of kids enrolled within the local Little League programs across the district

Just as UIL regulates school districts to only compete against other school districts of similar size by being classified as 1A, 2A, etc., our Little League District should not consist of a school that has a much larger margin of eligible kids enrolling in their program. This creates a competitive edge for Washington County along with an unfair environment for the other teams in the District. It is no coincidence that this year (2021) all 8 teams from Washington County won their District 13 Championships undefeated.

Help make a change in District 13 to have a fair, level playing field for our kids! Sign the petition to remove Washington County from our District!
