We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who request that the Federal Aviation Administration and FAA Administrator Michael Huerta hold a new round of public hearings on the impact of the O'Hare Modernization Plan on the neighborhoods affected by the increase in airplane noise. Since Runway 10C/28C became operational in October of 2013 affected residents have received little information from the Chicago Department of Aviation or from the Federal Aviation Administration regarding airspace and flight configuration or increase in noise levels. In addition we call on the FAA to expedite their noise and environmental impact study allowing affected homeowners to receive assistance in soundproofing their homes through the expansion of the soundproofing program.
