We, the undersigned alumni of Welham Girls' School, are writing to express our collective concern and disappointment regarding the decision to bar Mr. Vachani from the school premises. Mr. Vachani, our beloved basketball coach, has been an integral part of our school experience and has left a lasting impact on countless students over the years.
Mr. Vachani was not only a dedicated coach but also a mentor and role model to many of us. His passion for sports, commitment to excellence, and his ability to motivate and guide students made him one of the most respected and admired figures in our school. For many of us, our love for basketball and the values we learned through the sport—teamwork, discipline, resilience—were directly influenced by him.
It is with great sadness that we learned of his exclusion from school grounds, particularly as we approach the Founders Day celebration, a time when we all look forward to reconnecting with the teachers who shaped our lives. We feel that barring Mr. Vachani from the event is not only unfair to him, but also to the many students who hold him in the highest regard.
We respectfully request that the decision be reconsidered, and that Mr. Vachani be allowed back on school premises to participate in this important event and in the life of the school moving forward. We believe his presence is essential, not only as a symbol of the deep bond between students and teachers but also as a recognition of the positive influence he has had on so many of us.
We hope this petition will be taken into serious consideration and that a dialogue can be opened to discuss the reasons behind the decision, as well as possible solutions. Our hope is that the school will recognize the importance of Mr. Vachani’s contributions and allow him to continue being a part of the Welham community.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Batch of 2004

Mr. Vachani should be allowed on the campus and also be paid in full for his services to coach the girls for the tournament.
It is indeed correct that being in 2024, we feel a bond with Mr. Vacchani even today- such was his impact. He led Welham into many victories and gave his heart and sweat and life to Welham. Please reconsider very seriously.
For someone who has devoted a major part of his life to the school, the girls and the sport, and played a part in shaping us into the women we are today it is heartbreaking to see the treatment the school is giving to Mr Vachani, our mentor, teacher and lauded coach. Kindly reconsider the ban and give the love and respect the man deserves.
Petition to allow Mr. Vachani to attend Sports day at school and to be back at campus as no Sports day is complete without him.
Mr Vachani has been an integral part of school and has dedicated his life to the school and basketball. He should be allowed in the school premises as he harbours only love and dedication for the establishment
