Dear Prime Minister,
Please have a second thought on decision taken by Rajasthan High court. Its totally different from suicide.
It is done with willingness of self, family and entire social community. Please rethink.

I really thought this might just fade away but looking at the momentum now is honestly surreal. It feels like people are finally starting to grasp the nuance here instead of just dismissing it which is all I ever wanted.

Santhara is the purest form of attaining death. This is the fundamenal right in Jainism which is followed from several thousand years.
Santhara or Samadhi maran is a final goal of any Sdhak, muni, or any spritual student. In Santhara sadhak wants to leave this body or encounter the death with supreme concisious stage without any fear, hate, frustation or lure of heavon. Santhara is a process to elivate the soul and purify it from all sins and past karma. Hope you realize the purpose of Santhara and cmparision it with sucidie is illogical and ban on santhara is liks snatching the final goal right of any spritual sathak muni. Kamal
Ban imposed by Rajasthan high court does not make sense and has been put up without understanding the importance of it in Jainism. No one forces it to anyone to take fast. its individual rite not to let others face trouble due to you.
Dear PM Sir, This question is certainly raised by people who do not understand the process nor the religious aspects. If this is questionable then even fasting should also be banned.
I am against the Rajasthan court rule. This is a part of jain religion since centuries and it can compare with suicide. In Jainism people opt for it when they are at last stage and for monk when our higher guru feel their is time of death they leave food and water. If you see the fact people can live without food and water for so long but during of santhara or salekhna is never long because it is done only when you are going to die.
Please ban this as entire JAIN RELIGION is based on this Sallekhna / Santhara concept ..!!
High court decision is against Jain principles. We request this decision to be reverted back.

Supreme Court should consider the intricacies behind this religious tradition. Santhara cannot be equated with Suicide!
