On May 24 at 3:00PM a special city commission meeting will be held at City Hall to discuss a potential ban of the use of Five Points Park for future public events. The special meeting is during the work hours so sign this petition so your voice is heard! Make sure you share this on Facebook when you sign to help spread the word.
5 Points Park was designed to be the central focus for activity in downtown Sarasota.
As members of the Sarasota community we want to see live music and streets filled with activity. We want our neighborhood businesses to survive with foot traffic that events and live music brings. We do not want a city that ends urban core entertainment before midnight.
We need to hit the one thousand signature mark before I deliver this petition to the upcoming city commission meeting. Please direct three local residents to this page today so we can reach that threshold before the hearing.

We are approaching one hundred signatures which serves as our baseline requirement for the upcoming commission review. Focus your efforts on direct outreach to local business owners to ensure we cross this threshold before the meeting.

Five points park needs to stay open for events. It helps the local economy so much. Dont shut us down.

Total nonsense. Stop trying to turn downtown into a retirement home. We want life and music!

This is ridiculous. The park is the only reason I come downtown on weekends. Leave it alone!

Sarasota is dying as it is. Dont kill the park too. We need people downtown to keep the shops alive.
