This is a student-led attempt to bring Dr. Philip B. Payne to TEDS to teach a course tentatively titled "Women, the Bible and the Church" from an Egalitarian perspective. Check out his website at http://www.pbpayne.com to find out more about him, his book (Man and Woman, One in Christ: An Exegetical and Theological Study of Paul's Letters, published by Zondervan), and to view his other helpful resources. The class format would likely be a 2 credit hour course offered on Friday and Saturday for 2 weeks in a row, so that it does not interfere with any regular TEDS courses.

Whether you're Egalitarian, a firm or soft Complementarian, or undecided, we encourage you to join in the learning and discussion to be better informed to participate in a charitable dialogue.

By signing this petition you affirm the following: I not only state my support of bringing this professor and class to Trinity, but also that I will take this class for credit or audit (please specify in the comments box) if it is offered in the Spring 2014 semester. Of course, some of my plans may have changed by the time this class is officially offered. However, signing this petition declares that I am strongly committed to prioritizing this class.

This would be amazing for the campus. I have been wanting to take a course like this since I started. Would definitely audit it if the schedule works out.
