Currently, there is already a shortage of parking spaces at the town homes at Salem Fields. Starting June 1st, tenants will no longer be able to park a second car in the drive way if any part of the vehicle blocks the sidewalk. When this rule is enforced, there will be an even greater shortage of parking spaces available than what already exists today!

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to resolve the parking crisis at the Salem Field town homes.

Full sized cars like my Sonota won't fit the garage...Where do I park at least one of my cars with NO parking spots available??? Also, the meeting times to discuss this are ALWAYS at a disadvantaged times. WHY NOT A WEEKEND when you would get more turnout!???? Finch Lane

It's bad enough now that I cannot have more than one car of company at a time. This is especially frustrating throughout the holidays. If we cannot block the sidewalk, I cannot even have one car of company because I have a bicycle in the garage which will not fit with a CRV. It will be very difficult to sell my home with t his ridiculous parking situation.

Hi Gary. Thank you for you opinion. I believe what you are quoting was perhaps amended. We all (residents of the townhomes) have received a letter dated March 7 that has raised serious concerns for us residents of the townhomes. During the townhall meeting on Apr. 7, some members of the Fairfield community reported that they didn't receive this letter and according to Mark, he stated that we all should have received this letter. We have contacted the association ourselves to verify the intent of the letter ("zero tolerance policy... towing enforced"). One of us even went there with a diagram. Since then, we (approximately 60 residents) have attended the B.O.D meeting on the 28th of March as well as the town hall meeting on Apr. 7. We expressed our concerns at the townhall meeting (as we were unable to do so at the B.O.D meeting) and the B.O.D will be voting to suspend the enforcement on Apr. 25. I am requesting that you contact the association regarding your doubts. Have a wonderful day.

Hi Gary, Do you live in one of the townhouse? I believe HOA sent a notice to every townhome's resident notify us that we will be tow if our car blocking the sidewalk that connected to the driveway. Did you attend the townhall meeting yesterday? Do you know what is the parking situation in Parkevue and Fairfield townhouses?
