The Parents and Community Stakeholders of Public School #6 petition the City of Paterson and associate authorities to demolish the property located a 269 Fair Street of Paterson, NJ This property has been abandon for some time and is a safety hazard to the Children of Public School #6 and the surrounding community. Currently this property has become a popular drug-shooting place for unknown persons suffering from drug addiction and as a result needles and other drug usage instruments lay open where children walk and play. We the people feel it is the obligation of the City of Paterson to hold the owner of the said property accountable and/or demolish the building. Our children deserve a safe environment for education.

The city officials continue to ignore our emails about the state of the Fair Street property. I am exhausted by the constant bureaucratic stalling while our children walk past needles every single morning. We are keeping the pressure on because the safety of our neighborhood is not up for negotiation.

Seeing this much support behind the request to clear 269 Fair Street shows that I am not the only one losing sleep over the safety of our students. The path forward feels long and exhausting but this momentum proves we are finally being seen.

Please for the sake of the school children in the area, this is a blight on our community and also poses a quality of life threat.....our children deserve better
We need to demolish the building in order to make the environment safer for the children that go to school in Paterson
