Help Us Bring Changes To Placer County Animal Shelter
Animals are woven into the fabric of every community. They deserve to be treated kindly, provided with medical attention, good nutrition, shelter and fresh water. They require exercise for both their mind and body. We believe that every shelter requires education programs and a sound method of identifying animals with aggressive behavior and certainly not least of all, an assertive adoption program. These fundamental services are the responsibility of all public animal shelters, for every animal that enters their facility and every resident within their community. We further believe that Placer County Animal Shelter lacks sufficient staff and work stations to carryout these responsibilities. Therefore, the undersigned, request the Placer County Board of Supervisors and the County Executive Officer to allocate funding for additional staff positions and sufficient office space for the following positions: Executive Assistant (to the Program Director) Registered Veterinary Technician Volunteer Coordinator Animal Behavior Manager Animal Behavior Assistant (part-time) License Sales Agent Animal Care Technicians (2 full-time and 1 part-time) Humane Education Officer Web Site Designer
